Who we are, what we believe, and why we do this
Trendovnik was founded in 2022 with a simple mission: to publish fitness and nutrition content that is actually grounded in science. Not trend-chasing. Not fearmongering. Not affiliate-driven supplement promotion. Just honest, well-researched, professionally written information that helps people make smarter decisions about their health.
The fitness industry is saturated with misinformation — clickbait headlines, anecdote dressed up as evidence, and sponsored content that prioritises sales over truth. We started Trendovnik as a reaction to that environment, with a commitment to always citing the peer-reviewed research behind our claims and always being transparent about what we know, what we don't know, and what remains debated.
Every article published on Trendovnik goes through a structured editorial process. Our writers — certified fitness professionals, registered dietitians, and doctoral-level exercise scientists — draft content based on the current scientific literature. Each piece is then reviewed by at least one other credentialled professional before publication. Where the evidence is mixed or evolving, we say so explicitly. Where claims are strong, we provide the supporting citations.
We update our articles when new research changes the picture. You'll see "Updated" dates on every page for this reason. Fitness science moves forward, and our content should move with it.
Trendovnik publishes in-depth guides across four areas: strength and cardio training, nutrition and dietetics, health and wellness (including sleep, stress, and recovery), and fitness motivation and mindset. We don't cover everything — we'd rather publish fewer, better articles than flood the internet with thin content. Each guide we publish is written to be genuinely useful to someone who reads it today and comes back to reference it a year from now.
